Moon Cheese – Mozzarella
After kayaking the Ochoco Reservoir and getting blasted by the sun, it’s time to take a break and set up camp. I need something quick and rich in calories.
It’s hard to go wrong with Mozzarella Moon Cheese if you are an active individual and not sensitive to dairy. Rich in calories, light on ingredients, low in carbs and gluten free too. Nice and simple.

Delicious morsels of dehydrated cheese in a bag. Just open, pop in your mouth, and enjoy. No prep involved whatsoever. Remember that you can repackage this cheesy treat into a light weight Ziplock bag, cut down on the trash carried, and in turn this food’s weight rating into a or weight rating.
We’ve reviewed 4 flavors of Moon Cheese so far, and the Mozzarella is on the lower end of the taste rating. It takes a few moments for the full taste of the Mozzarella to kick in after biting into it.
The Mozzarella doesn’t have quite as much kick that the cheddar flavor has, but taste and especially cheese is very subjective.
It still has a rich and bold flavor worthy of a good taste review.
It’s worth noting that we include the weight of the packaging in the weight rating. The larger packages of Moon Cheese are ultralight products. More info on the link below on how and why we rate food the way we do.
