Chef’s Cut – Sriracha Flavored Bacon Jerky
An afternoon hike through the Ochoco National Forest, and I’m running out of daylight. No time for a fancy, time consuming meal. I reach into my backpack for a quick snack, and grab Chef’s Cut Sriracha Flavored Bacon Jerky.
What more can I ask for in regards to prep and taste? Bacon is an easy sell on it’s own, but the added spices perfectly glazed on thin cut slabs of pork? I’m in heaven.

Little to say here. Open the bag and dig in. The Sriracha is not a powder on the bacon like you might expect with a dried jerky product, instead it’s applied in liquid form. This makes for a little extra clean up on the fingers. You’ll likely need something to wipe your hands off on, or if you were raised as a savage like myself, you’ll use your clothes.
Keep in mind, you can repackage this meaty delight into a small Ziploc bag and increase the weight rating to a or even a . It will greatly cut down on the amount of trash you have to carry as well.
- Very easy to pack around.
- Makes for a quick and nutritious snack.
- Best for day hikes or short camping trips.
- Not practical for thru hikers or long journeys because of the extra trash it’ll generate.
I was blown away by how great this tasted! It’s seriously the best jerky I’ve ever had and was thoroughly sad when it was gone. The sriracha is glazed onto the jerky and caramelized, adding a little extra crunchy surprise.
- Superb taste.
- No excess fatty bits like some low quality jerky products.
